Massage Therapist
A quiet massage house in Kapitolyo. Hilot, Swedish and deep tissue by licensed therapists, with time to rest after.
Hilotala is a six-room massage house on a quiet side street in Kapitolyo. We opened it because most of the massages we had in the city were rushed, loud and over before the oil had warmed up. Every therapist here is licensed, and we ask about injuries, pressure and pregnancy before every session. Hilot is done the way Teresa learned it from her grandmother in Batangas: warm coconut oil, banana leaf and no hurry. Please arrive ten minutes early for ginger tea and a quick check-in. After your session the rest room is yours for as long as you like; nobody will knock.
Gemma did hilot the way my lola used to. I fell asleep twice and she let me.

Ninety minutes of deep tissue after a month of marathon training. Rommel found the knot behind my left shoulder blade in about four seconds and spent the next twenty patiently undoing it.

Lovely Swedish massage and a very calm room. Street parking on a Saturday took me fifteen minutes.

Booked the stones for my birthday. The rest room afterwards with tea is half the treat.
